Children at Maplewood UMC

Children are a vital part of Maplewood United Methodist Church. Children participate in all aspects of church life, from worship to small groups to service. Children are welcome at all events . Maplewood United Methodist Church is a Safe Gatherings church. Folks who work with children, youth and vulnerable adults take training designed to assure that MUMC provides a safe and secure environment.

Fall Festival 

October 31st at 10:00 we will have our first Fall Festival! We will host up to 60 children, We will have games, snacks, crafts and face painting. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED!  

Children's Sunday School Movie Day

Join us in the Children's Sunday School Class on November 1st for our Movie Day.  We will have a fun movie and  snacks! 

Children's Choir 

Maplewood UMC’s Children are going to sing a song on the 4th Sunday of every month during the 11:00 a.m. Worship. 
Children are invited on the 3rd Sunday every month to join us for our 9:45 a.m. Sunday School lesson where we will also practice and learn the song we will sing.

Children's Sunday School Halloween Party

Join us in the Children's Sunday School Class on October 25th for our Halloween Party.  Costumes are encouraged! We will go on a spooky Halloween Walk, play games and have fun snacks!

What is Together Time?

The Sunday School hour at Maplewood UMC will begin with “Together Time.” At 9:45 am in the sanctuary, Pastor Andy will lead all adults, youth, and kids in the sanctuary for a time of celebration, singing, and prayer together before heading off to your Sunday School classes. “Together Time” is a wonderful multi-generational space to gather and briefly connect for 5 or 10 minutes every week.

What is happening in our Children's Sunday School classes?

We are so excited to start our Sunday school classes this year. We have some amazing friends coming in to lead the classes with lots of fun things planned!
Our Children's Sunday School (Pre-K- 5th Grade)  We are looking a different ways to help our community, and all of the way God shows his love. We have different activities planned each week, we will be going over a bible lesson, doing science experiments, painting and making crafts, we will play games and have songs picked out to sing and dance to!

What is happening in our Youth Sunday School classes?

Our Youth Sunday School (6th- Highschool) meet upstairs on the 3rd floor in our teen room. They will usually have a snack and discussions about bible lessons, their lives, and what's going on in the world and their communities.

Youth Group

All Maplewood youth in 6th through 12th grade are invited to be join our Youth Group. And feel free to invite a friend or two! A simple supper will be provided. Youth group meets 1-2 Sunday evenings a month.

Parents can enjoy a well-deserved rest while your kids have a fun-filled evening with us! We will provide dinner, crafts, games, and entertainment for children aged 3-12 . The cost is $10 per child. You must pre-register and spots are limited so please sign up today!
