Each month on Communion Sunday, Maplewood United Methodist Church supports the “Feed and Be Fed” Weekend on Wheels program sponsored by the MRH School District by bringing non-perishable food items to share with families who need a little help on the weekends when the school provided breakfasts and lunches are not available.
Here is a list of needed items:
Cans of tuna, chicken, etc
Peanut butter and jelly
Box of cereal or oatmeal packets
Mac and cheese
Can of tomatoes or tomato sauce, veggies, beans
Can of soup, spaghetti sauce/sloppy Joes
Can of fruit and fruit cups
Box of pudding, jello
Maplewood United Methodist Church Supports Joe’s Place by Providing Paper Products: Items are collected at the church and delivered to Joe’s Place as needed: trash bags, toilet tissue, napkins, paper towels, aluminum foil, sandwich baggies, saran wrap, lysol wipes, kleenex and dryer sheets.
JOE’S PLACE, located in Maplewood, is a home that offers a safe nurturing environment during the school year for boys in the MRH School District who are affected by homelessness. Joe’s Place is a collaborative effort between the Maplewood-Richmond Heights School District and area churches and organizations who provide the necessities to keep a family home function. It has received national recognition for the positive impact it has on the lives of those it touches.
